GETTING TO THE PARK
The bridge to enter Belle Isle Park is located at the intersection of Jefferson Ave and East Grand Blvd. The Park's administration office is located at 99 Pleasure Drive, Detroit, MI 48207.
There is NO PUBLIC BOAT DOCK on the island. Access to boat docking is available to members of the Detroit Yacht Club through the DYC's private dock. Please contact the DYC to inquire about memberships and reciprocal club access.

RECREATION PASSPORT INFORMATION
WHAT IS A RECREATION PASSPORT?
A Recreation Passport is a fee applied to vehicles accessing parks, camp sites, and boat ramps managed by the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Revenue generated from the Recreation Passport program helps to fund the day to day operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Michigan's award-winning park system.
DO I NEED TO GET A RECREATION PASSPORT?
The answer depends on how you are accessing the park. As Michigan's 102nd State Park, a Recreation Passport is required for all VEHICLE entry to Belle Isle Park. If you are walking, biking, or taking public transit to the park, you DO NOT NEED a passport. The Recreation Passport is valid from the time of purchase until the vehicle's registration expires, which is typically one year.
HOW MUCH DOES A RECREATION PASSPORT COST?
$11 for Michigan registered vehicles
$5 for Michigan registered motorcycles
$16 for buses and commercial vehicles
$31 for out of state vehicle annual pass
$9 for out of state daily pass
HOW CAN I GET A RECREATION PASSPORT?
Check yes to the Recreation Passport when you renew your license plate
Purchase a window sticker at a visitor booth at a state park, at the Belle Isle Park Administration Building, or at the Outdoor Adventure Center.
