VOLUNTEER ON BELLE ISLE

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Belle Isle Park. We appreciate the passion, time and talent that our volunteers give to us and would love to have you join out team.

STEWARDSHIP SATURDAY: INVASIVE SPECIES

Please join us in doing work that is much needed in Belle Isle’s natural areas. On Stewardship Saturdays, volunteers help remove invasive plant species from the island. We start at 9:00 a.m. and end at noon. Stewardship Saturdays are generally the 3rd Saturday of each month- excluding December. Please refer to the DNR calendar of Volunteer Stewardship Workdays to verify correct date, time and meeting location.

Please contact Laurel Malvitz-Draper, DNR Resource Steward for the Stewardship Unit, at 517-719-2285 or malvitzl@michigan.gov to be added to the mailing list, which will provides regular updates and information regarding Saturday work days on Belle Isle.

Belle Isle Park volunteers are required to have a recreation passport to access the island. Submission of a volunteer application does not guarantee a volunteer position.
