The Belle Isle Holiday Stroll is a free event, traditionally held on the second Friday of December, that welcomes park visitors to enjoy a family-friendly schedule of holiday activities and performances at institutions across the island. Due to the ongoing health crisis, along with many of our other events this year, Holiday Stroll will look a bit different!

This year, instead of celebrating on just one day, Holiday (st)Roll activities will be available from December 4 - January 1. You can look forward to a one-of-a-kind coloring book, an audio tour, an online marketplace filled with local vendors (shop small!), holiday performances from talented community musicians, and more!

Roll on down to Belle Isle to enjoy a leisurely drive while learning all about the history and details of the nature, people, and places you pass by. Narrated by our own Ayo Thomas, this audio tour is sure to enhance your understanding of Belle Isle and why it has been a beloved Detroit park for generations.

Grab a hot cocoa, put on your coziest socks, and bring a black and white Belle Isle into technicolor with your very own coloring book.

The ambiance of Holiday Stroll is usually characterized by the many talented musicians from our community. But, if you can have a digital yule log set the cozy mood, then a digital violin performance can certainly do the same thing, right?

While you're on Belle Isle, enjoying the audio tour, make sure to stop by Sunset Point and snap a pic with your family at the Big Frame.
